  • I believe the "less is more" approach to be true in many areas of life including photography.
    I like symmetry and balance.
    I am moved by 20th century photographers like Salgao, Erwitt, Sieff, Bitesnich, Ritts, Brandt, Avedon, Lindbergh and Cartier-Bresson.
    I am taken by painters like Klimt, Leighton, Bouguereau, Carolus-Duran, Draper, Alma-Tadema and Van Gogh.
    Hagia Sophia and the Pantheon are the most significant buildings I've been to and can't really explain why.
    I am fascinated by the work of sculptors like Rodin, Bernini, Canova and Chillida.
    I like to swim, bike and run.
    By far Beethoven is my favorite composer, though I can be equally moved by music performed by Bono, Manzanero, Cigala, Bowie, Vedder or Sabina.
    I find many fashion photographers' work to be inspiring and artful.
    I believe the term sustainability to be grossly overused and highly misunderstood.
    I don't get Facebook.
    I genuinely enjoy the work of conservationists like Gregory Colbert, Arthus-Bertrand, Mike Fay and Wade Davis.
